Boyd's Carinal Hollow Winery: PA Winery / Wine Shop News

This July, wine maker and owner of Boyd’s Cardinal Hollow Winery, Chris Boyd will be bottling and releasing three spectacular red wines.  First, a Cabernet Franc made from southern New Jersey grapes, this is the back bone grape in French Bordeaux blends.  Second, their Merlot, created from grapes found in the hills of California.  "I thought I would give one batch a try to see how they stack up to the PA Merlot grapes." Chris states.  Finally, a DeChaunac which is is a French hybrid red grape that grows well in Pennsylvania. Consistent from year to year DeChaunac has a bit of a spicy background to compliment the slightly higher acid structure. Upcoming wines being released are their Apple, Strawberry, Pear and Pineapple.

These and many other wonderful, hand-crafted wines can be found at their tasting room, along with unique wine-themed gifts. Boyd’s Cardinal Hollow Winery is open Fridays through Sunday. For additional information or to book a party, stop in or visit
