The Village Barn June 2011 Art Exhibition
Frances O'Donnell  Watercolor
ABOUT THE ARTIST

Frances O’Donnell has had a lifelong interest in painting watercolors but it was only after she retired that she began to study the medium.  She has studied with Joanne Cooksey Bono, Claire Perles and Lauren Dadonna.  Ms. O’Donnell credits Lauren Dadonna with continuing to inspire her.  She has participated in workshops given by Jean Splicer Uhl, Jannet Walsh, James McFarlane and Terry Madden.
She is a member of the Greater Norristown Art League, the Perkiomen Valley Art Center, the North Penn Art Alliance and was juried into the Delaware Valley Art League.   As an associate member of the Philadelphia Watercolor Society she had a painting juried into the Members Only Art Show in 2006.  In 2003 she was a featured artist at the Phoenixville Art Show and Sale and was voted the favorite artist at the show.
Although she acknowledges the importance of shapes and composition, color is her strongest motivator and she strives to convey her love and passion for painting in this way.  Ms. O’Donnell draws inspiration from the everyday and takes pleasure in painting scenes from numerous trips abroad and in this country.  The need to create fills her days.
An award winning artist her paintings hand in homes across the country.

THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FOR ALL TO ENJOY.
