ABOUT THE ARTIST
STATEMENT
“I live in the village of Tylersport, Pennsylvania, located north of Philadelphia (south of Quakertown). I was a scientist for Merck Research Laboratories for 25 years. Since retirement I am a full time woodturner working with many local woods and some exotics. I turn many different forms but my main passion is for art forms rather than utilitarian forms. My work has been displayed at the Harford Fair in Susquehanna County Pennsylvania, the Tylersport Carvers and Turners show and at Green Wolfs Village Barn Shops in Skippack, Pennsylvania. I am the current president of the Lehigh Valley Woodturners and a member of the American Association of Woodturners.” – Bill Schlief
