About
Brigida Michopulos, was born into a family of musicians. In 1990, she received her diploma at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana and worked for an Italian architectural firm, 1990 – 2001, specializing in urban renewal projects. As a staff employee for planning committees and public architecture offices in various Italian cities, Brigida has participated in numerous competitions in architecture projects and painting exhibits in oil and tempera from 2001 – 2011.
In 2000, Brigida moved to the United States where she joined the distinguished firm of Steven Ware Architects, located in Montgomery County Pennsylvania, specializing in the 18th -19th century American biangular Architecture of the Mid-Atlantic Region as an Architectural illustrator.Brigida’s vivid imagination, meticulous attention to detail and strong architectural background are prevalent in every piece she creates. The wildlife characters she brings to life dance within the rich forest of colors and viewers young and old cannot help but to be immersed into her world of fantasy.
From a classical charcoal drawing, the soft gradations of light and dark are brought to life as Brigida builds upon the many sheer layers taking each piece deep into the oil realms to produce paintings that are captivating.
