ABOUT THE ARTIST
Robert studied illustration and fine art at Philadelphia College of Art under Ben Eisenstadt, Albert Gold, Jane Piper and Isa Barnett.

At age 20, Robert was selected to serve as a Combat Artist for the U.S. Navy/Marine Corps Combat Art program in Vietnam.

In 1972, Robert lived and studied in Florence , Italy , working among a circle of artists, and in 1974, opened a studio in Cedars, PA, where he taught drawing and painting. He was commissioned for church interior restorations and has received private commissions for landscapes, portraits and still life.

In 1987, Robert established Motion Graphics and has painted hundreds of murals for commercial and residential clients. He has also been involved in numerous career development programs, teaching and working with high school students creating community murals.

Robert has always been inspired by Pennsylvania landscapes—the old farms and expanding vistas. He paints daily in studio and out in the countryside.

Robert won Best in Show at the Schuylkill River Heritage Area competition in 2008, and had a one-man show at Montgomery County Community College West in 2009. The inspiration first, then the capacity for solid drawing, knowledge of color, good technique and an engaging composition—all together complete the cycle of creation, giving credibility to the artist and pleasure to the viewer. - R.
