Kick off the holiday season with Green Wolf’s Village Barn Shoppes in Skippack Village, as participating businesses will be extending their hours until 9pm, Wednesdays and Fridays, November 23rd through December 21st, 2012.

Skippack Village, located in the center of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, has been known for its personalized customer service and specialized shopping to visitors from around the Greater Philadelphia region for decades. 

The pathways throughout this quaint village guide visitors to the savory international cheese selections found at the Grand Fromage, the delectable treats at Miss Riddles Candy Shop or desserts at The Sinful Cupcake Café.  For wine lovers, a tremendous wine selection can be found in the village’s two local wineries, which include, Boyd’s Cardinal Hollow Winery and Antler Ridge Winery. Skippack Village also boasts fine dining surrounding the grand Hotel Fiesole.

Last week was the kickoff of Illuminaire Nights and the Lighting of the Village Tree.  Harry Wolf, owner of Fox and Wolf woodworking, as well as a longtime resident of Skippack Village mentioned, “This has to be the largest number of people I have ever seen for the tree lighting ceremony.”  Caroling and holiday music filled the air, as well as live dance productions and a visit from Santa Claus.  Geri Cafferella of Wilmington, Delaware shared, “We love coming here every year and to see the unveiling of (The Wolf’s) holiday window display and wonder through the candlelit village.  It’s absolutely beautiful!”  

On December 7th, the shops of the East Village of Skippack will be holding their annual Jack Frost Friday. Holiday shoppers can “Play the Game” and a have a chance to win a gift basket worth over $570.
